Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN First Assist for a travel nursing job in San Luis Obispo, California.

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialist Location: unspecified. This role involves supporting a busy OR unit with a high volume of orthopedic, general, gynecology, pediatric, and eye cases. The position requires collaboration with a team of experienced professionals to deliver quality surgical care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details
Certifications / Education / Degree Requirements: BLS certification is mandatory; minimum of 2 years of OR experience required; prior travel experience preferred.

Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts with variable start times, minimum 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
Current ACLS and BLS certifications, two years of OR experience, ability to start on 11/09/2026, and available to work through 02/08/2027.
Responsibilities:
Support high-volume orthopedic, general, gynecology, pediatric, and eye surgeries; scrub preferred for RN candidates; adapt to unit-specific orientation based on skill set; participate in on-call rotations with a 30-minute response time; work holidays only in emergencies.
Submission Requirements: License to submit required; certification verification necessary.
