Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room, Johnstown, PA. The position provides perioperative nursing care for patients of all ages in a Level 1 trauma setting. The role includes varied 8-hour shifts, on-call responsibilities, and collaboration across multiple surgical specialties.
Job Details
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure or authorization to practice in Pennsylvania; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)/HWC certifications; three or more years of operating room experience; experience with EPIC; willingness to accept varied shifts, on-call assignments, and weekend daylight shifts.
Preferred Qualifications: Robotics experience, charge experience, and Level 1 trauma experience.
Schedule: Varied 8-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week; on-call coverage may be required one or two times per week in 8-hour increments, including weekends as needed.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: Provides care for patients of all ages across orthopedic, gynecological, obstetric, plastic, general, cardiovascular, neurological, urological, breast, and podiatric procedures. Blue scrubs are provided, and casual wear is not permitted. Required Pennsylvania child-abuse, Department of Human Services, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and state police clearances must be completed before the assignment begins. Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.
