Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2026 Duration: 6 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 17, 2026 Length: 6 weeks Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic and robotics experience for a teaching hospital setting requiring a CA RN license. Details Operating Room unit in a hospital setting Variable 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday 1:1 patient ratio Epic charting system experience required Ability to float to other UCSF facilities and departments within a 75 mile radius if qualifications are met Scrubbing and circulating responsibilities in a General OR setting Uses Hana Table equipment Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of submission BSN required AHA BLS certification required CNOR certification preferred Minimum 2 years inpatient OR experience required Strong orthopedic background required Robotics experience required, DaVinci preferred Urology experience required Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required Experience with ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, closed and open reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement preferred Experience scrubbing orthopedic and arthroscopic surgeries required General surgery experience including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and laparoscopic-assisted procedures Endoscopic procedure experience including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, no exceptions Additional Information Perform scrubbing and circulating duties for orthopedic, general surgery, and endoscopic procedures Complete non-billable training modules during pre-start and annually, with transcripts recorded via UC Learning Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with full employment history for rehire eligibility review All requested time off must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract Time off is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Floating to other departments, units, or facilities within a 75 mile radius may be required if qualifications are met American Traveler Job ID P- .
