Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history to treat orthopedic patients at a multi-disciplinary medical center.
Details
Outpatient clinic setting within a multi-disciplinary medical center
Patient population ranges from teens to older adults with a mix of non-surgical and post-operative orthopedic cases
5x8 day shift schedule with flexible start and end times between 8:00 and 17:30
13-week assignment length
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience within the last 7 years required
At least 1 previous travel assignment required
Current BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Experience with orthopedic conditions including DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, hip and knee injuries, low back pain, osteoarthritis, and post-op spinal, shoulder, and cervical surgery
Proficiency with assistive devices and equipment such as crutches, gait belts, walkers, and slings
Experience applying modalities including cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, and TENS
Skilled in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, short/long term goals, and reassessments
Charting system experience required
Additional Information
Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, home exercise program development, and patient/family education
Site offers physician support and scenic views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor
Sports medicine experience preferred
No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with none allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment
60-mile radius applies for determining local candidate status
