PACU Travel Nurse Job Details Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Healthcare Setting: Pre- and post-operative surgery Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin Start Date: October 19, 2026 End Date: January 16, 2027 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Call Requirements: Approximately one weeknight call shift every other week and one weekend call rotation every 6–7 weeks; weekend call runs from Friday afternoon through Monday morning Charting System: Epic Work Arrangement: On-site PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements Active Wisconsin or compact Registered Nurse license At least 2 years of recent Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current ACLS certification Current PALS certification Associate degree or nursing certificate Epic charting experience preferred Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills Dependable, resilient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to patient care PACU RN Responsibilities Provide safe, skilled nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures Monitor airway, breathing, circulation, level of consciousness, pain, and post-operative recovery status Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders and established standards Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical, and perioperative teams to support smooth patient transitions Complete accurate patient assessments, documentation, and handoff reports in Epic Provide patient and family education related to recovery and discharge instructions Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced clinical environment Apply now for this PACU Registered Nurse travel contract in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and bring your post-operative nursing expertise to a supportive healthcare team.
