American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbia, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Dec 7, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) requiring an active MO or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience. Details 29-bed adult stepdown/PCU unit Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM) 36 or 48-hour contracts available Every other weekend requirement Mandatory floating to ICU and MS cluster units, with ICU floats based on patient acuity Cerner charting system preferred Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs Ability to work in an environment with contagious illness exposure Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/progressive care environment with cardiac, respiratory, and telemetry monitoring needs Rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and work during inclement weather required Must work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract Local candidates accepted, though not eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply Travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be offered the local rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none permitted during the first week due to orientation American Traveler Job ID P- .
