Job Summary:
nRespiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care at a hospital setting. This role involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for pediatric patients with respiratory conditions utilizing advanced technologies and medications. The position is based in a high-acuity NICU/PICU environment requiring collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
nJob Details:
nnSchedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
nRequired Qualifications: Current respiratory therapy license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Candidates must have at least 2 years of current acute care hospital respiratory therapist experience.
nFluent in procedures performed on unit, including treatment and evaluation of respiratory diseases, utilizing advanced technologies such as high flow devices, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and others.
nMust be a team player, critical thinker, patient care-focused, adaptable to fast-paced and changing environments, and able to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
nPrevious Meditech electronic documentation system experience is preferred but not mandatory.
n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnCandidates with previous NICU/PICU experience.
nAdvanced skills with high flow devices and neonatal/pediatric procedures.
n nAdditional Information:
nnThe role may provide coverage for adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.
