Job Description – Inpatient Operations Pharmacist
Facility: Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation
Location: Tuba City, AZ
Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
Shift: Night Shift / Rotation: Wednesday–Tuesday
Contract: 13 weeks
Patient Population
Pediatric
Adolescent
Adult
Geriatric
Oncology
Obstetric
Key Responsibilities
Manage night-shift inpatient pharmacy operations.
Coordinate daily staffing and workflow.
Assign daily duties to pharmacy personnel.
Maintain inpatient pharmacy compliance standards.
Serve as a liaison between pharmacy staff and the supervisor.
Provide front-line pharmacy services and direct patient care.
Provide medication management services.
Provide technical and administrative guidance to: Pharmacists
Pharmacy Technicians/Trainees
Pharmacy Aides
Pharmacy Billers
Cover other shifts when needed to address staffing deficits.
Required Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-recognized school, OR
Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS-Pharm) from an ACPE-recognized school.
Required Licensure & Certifications
Current, valid, unrestricted pharmacist license in a U.S. state/territory or District of Columbia.
BLS – American Heart Association
ACLS – American Heart Association
Experience – Inpatient Operations Pharmacist I
Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience .
Knowledge of pharmaceutical, hospital, clinical practice, and pharmacy services.
Experience – Inpatient Operations Pharmacist II
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist .
Board Certification in an ASHP-approved specialty, such as: Cardiology Pharmacy
Compounded Sterile Preparations Pharmacy
Critical Care Pharmacy
Infectious Diseases Pharmacy
Pharmacotherapy
Emergency Medicine
Shift Details
Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Weekends (Sat & Sun): 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM (as provided in the posting; weekend hours should be confirmed)
