Experience with complex patients, including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO
Experience with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Meditech, and Vigilanz
Advanced skills in vancomycin AUC dosing, aminoglycoside dosing, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, and DOAC
Description:
The position requires a pharmacist with general hospital experience.
The unit has 463 beds.
Patient ratios are not applicable.
The unit includes unit secretaries and techs for support.
The documentation systems used are Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 safe.
Scheduling requires availability for nights from 20:30-07:00 and evenings from 14:30-01:00.
There is no floating policy.
Client experience is mandatory for patient interactions.
The facility holds several certifications, including a primary stroke center and a trauma center.
Pharmacist tenure averages 13 years in the unit.
Resources available include Sanford Guide, Clinical Key, Uptodate, Vanc AUC calculator, Neofax, Briggs, and Lexicomp.
