Job Summary:
nThe organization is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a healthcare facility in Humansville, Missouri. This role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position emphasizes evidence-based clinical practices to support patient recovery and ongoing care.
nJob Details:
nnnSchedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

nnRequired Qualifications: Active State Licensure in Missouri; one year of PTA experience; long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience; PTA license; submission at posted rate; new graduates with Level II experience are welcome

nnAbility to work with supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies according to regulatory and clinical practice requirements

nnParticipation in meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
n
nnAdherence to American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and State practice acts, ethics, and code of conduct
n
nnAbility to supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
n
nnAdditional Information:
nnDuties include assessing patient progress, documenting all clinical information in electronic records, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
nProvides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
nDocuments all required treatment minutes and participates in required in-services, trainings, and conferences
nMay assist with obtaining supplies and supports supervised staff as needed
