Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience for a day-shift position with no weekends or on-call requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience required
State license required in hand at time of consideration; no license hits accepted; license required if applicable
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Current driver's license required
Must have reliable transportation and insurance
OASIS experience preferred
Pending licenses not accepted; must have valid license in hand at time of consideration
Responsibilities
Home health setting covering geriatric patients, wound care, and general home health cases
Minimum of 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for a 40-hour guarantee
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekend shifts required
On-call is discretionary and not required
May be asked to cover surrounding counties in addition to primary territory
Charting completed using Kinnser/Wellsky and must be done onsite in the clinic, not taken home
Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient (not to or from home)
Focus on patient-centered care with an emphasis on quality visits rather than volume
Ideal candidates are punctual, self-starters, and diligent with charting responsibilities
Free residential parking provided
Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
COVID-19 vaccination required with religious declination allowed; flu vaccination can be declined with documentation
All required compliance documents must be completed before starting patient care, which may take 2-3 weeks
All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application; no additional time off will be accepted after an offer is made
Contract length is 4-6 months, with less experienced clinicians required to complete a 6-month term
