Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on clinician committed to enhancing patient mobility and overall well-being.
Unit Information
Number of Beds: 41
Number of Staff: Estimated 15-20 therapy staff daily across various disciplines including Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
Shift: Day Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Patient Ratios: Manage a treatment load of up to 6 hours within an 8-hour shift.
Equipment: Familiarity with ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer equipment, gym equipment, and vital signs machines is essential.
Electronic Medical Records: Experience with Meditech Magic preferred.
Qualifications
Required: Minimum 6 months of recent acute care physical therapy experience and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred: Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting and neuro certification/experience are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide daily treatments, including gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and caregiver training.
Ensure that patients meet their required therapy time during inpatient rehabilitation.
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of patient treatment times and charges.
Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate should be a team player, adaptable to flexible work hours, and willing to participate in rotating weekend shifts. A hands-on approach to treatment and proficiency in patient interaction is essential.
