Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility/rehab setting requiring 1+ year of PT experience and LTC or rehab experience.
Details
Setting: Skilled nursing facility/long-term care rehab unit
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM, as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements
MO state license required (compact license accepted)
Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
LTC or rehab setting experience required
New grads considered if they completed a Level II clinical rotation (not Level I observation only)
1 professional reference required for consideration
License required if applicable
Additional Information
Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and treating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
Develops individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
Administers treatments including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and use of assistive devices
Documents all services in the electronic record system per regulatory and clinical standards
Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other facility-required meetings
May supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students
Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested
Open to first-time travelers with qualifying clinical experience
