Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a day-shift outpatient rehabilitation role requiring an active PT license and 1+ years of experience.
Details Outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic setting
Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
Requirements Active Physical Therapist license required in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
Minimum 1 year of experience required
Degree in Physical Therapy required
Continuing education courses preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility
Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour work days
Proficient computer skills including Word, Internet, and EMR systems
Additional Information Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up
Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding patient care
Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care
Maintain accurate patient chart documentation including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
Work closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
Make independent decisions regarding patient care
Be familiar with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes
Comply with HIPAA and OSHA policies and procedures
Open to first-time travelers
