Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a critical access hospital setting.
Details
Outpatient Rehab unit within a critical access hospital with 25 staffed beds
4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekends required
Flexible scheduling options available, including potential for 8 or 10 hour shifts
Uses Cerner for charting, experience preferred but not required
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted;
RQI cards not accepted)
License required if applicable
Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations preferred
Familiarity with modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and traction preferred
Experience with assessment, documentation, and home exercise program development
Additional Information
Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic and neurologic caseloads
Scrub color is grey
Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
Time off requests should be discussed directly with the facility manager
Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
Travel pairs are not accepted
