Job description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
License required if applicable
Experience with orthopedic conditions, gait training, and modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, and traction preferred
Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and use of assistive/adaptive devices
Experience with geriatric and neurological patient populations preferred
Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education preferred
Responsibilities
Setting: Outpatient Clinic within a critical access hospital's PT Outpatient unit
Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM-5:00 PM), with flexibility for 8 or 10 hour shifts
No weekend shifts required
Uses Cerner charting system, experience preferred but not required
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for outpatient orthopedic and neurological cases
Grey scrub color required
Free parking available with a permit obtained during orientation
First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
Previous PERM or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
RTO requests are subject to facility approval, with up to 5 non-holiday days eligible for auto-approval
Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
