Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1 year of outpatient experience.
Details
Outpatient clinic setting
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Treats patients across orthopedic, spinal, and neurologic conditions including post-op cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgeries, total hip and knee replacements, stroke, TBI, and other neurologic disorders
Uses charting system experience of any type
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
BLS certification required
State license required if applicable, with proof of pending licensure accepted prior to start
Charting system experience required (any EMR)
Skilled in assessment, body mechanics, home exercise programs, and patient/family education
Additional Information
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access, and supervising physical therapy assistants
Involves competency in modalities, exercise equipment, and functional or ergonomic evaluations such as Work Hardening or Functional Capacity Evaluations
Requires ongoing communication with referring physicians through evaluation and progress notes
May involve some administrative duties such as scheduling and coordinating patient visits
