Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient rehabilitation clinic on the Central Coast of CA, requiring an active PT license and at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements
Active state license as a Physical Therapist required (license required if applicable)
Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
Degree in Physical Therapy required
Proficient computer skills including EMR, Word, and Internet use
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility
Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for 8-10 hour shifts
Responsibilities
Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting
Days shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
13-week assignment
Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
Document patient evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries using EMR
Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA policies and procedures
Assist with PT billing processes including Medicare, workers comp, and private pay
Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes
Work closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
No travel required for this position
