American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in San Francisco, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 17, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and PALS certification at a teaching hospital. Details Work in the PICU of an academic medical center Day (3x12, 7:00-19:30) and Night (3x12, 19:00-7:30) shift options available 1:8 patient ratio Care involves conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, telemetry, ventilators, and central line care Epic EMR experience referenced; required or preferred per unit details Floating to other UCSF facilities within a 75 mile radius may be required based on qualifications Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of consideration BSN required Current certifications: BLS and PALS CCRN certification preferred Minimum 2 years of recent experience required Teaching hospital experience required and must be reflected in employment history Level 1 Trauma experience and bone marrow transplant post-surgical experience preferred 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized interventions First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of offer and approved by the manager; no additional requests will be accepted mid-contract, and no time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment American Traveler Job ID P- .
