American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in San Francisco, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 17, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring CA RN licensure, PALS certification, and teaching hospital experience. Details Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a teaching hospital 12-hour Day/Night variable shift schedule (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30) Patient ratio of 1:2 Epic charting system required Floating to other UCSF facilities and units may be required based on qualifications Requirements Active CA RN license required BSN required AHA BLS and PALS certifications required CCRN certification preferred Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required Teaching hospital experience required Level I Trauma experience preferred Experience with conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, telemetry, ventilator management, and central line care required Experience with bone marrow transplant patients preferred 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized interventions Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, intubation assistance, and airway care Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and neurological care including ICP monitoring and EVD care Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review All requested time off must be submitted and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no time off allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P- .
