Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in en_US This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy healthcare environment, with shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The role requires a dedicated RN to support patient assessments, care planning, and safety initiatives within a 13-week assignment.
Job Details
Position: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Location: en_US Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only) Education: Registered Nurse license Experience: 0 years minimum Location: en_US
Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develops individualized care plans.
Provides patient education and ongoing updates for team conferences and documentation in accordance with policy.
Participates in patient rehabilitation programs, ensuring priority on education and discharge planning from the day of admission.
Communicates patient status changes effectively to ensure continuity of care.
Supervises ancillary nursing staff, delegates appropriately, and contributes positively to teamwork and unit morale.
Ensures personal and environmental safety following hospital and nursing policies.
Maintains supplies, monitors charges, and provides cost-effective care to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Assumes charge responsibility after orientation as requested and actively pursues professional growth.
Performs other duties as assigned.
