Job description
Role:
Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on night shifts, providing specialized patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Responsibilities:
Assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care; reviewing patient history and diagnostics; collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and revise care plans; delivering direct care based on physician orders and standards; supervising licensed and non-licensed staff; evaluating patient responses and adjusting care as needed; participating in quality improvement and educational activities; ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current RN license (state-specific, interim, or compact); BLS certification; recent experience in an acute care hospital preferred; strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to manage complex patient needs and document accurately.
Key Duties:
Providing high-quality, individualized patient care; supervising staff; engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams; and contributing to quality and safety initiatives within the facility.
