Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
Details
Outpatient Clinic setting within a critical access hospital
Day shift, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM-5:00 PM), with flexibility for 8 or 10 hour shifts
No weekend shifts required
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
Uses Cerner for charting, experience preferred but not required
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted;
RQI cards not accepted)
License required if applicable
Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations preferred
Skilled in modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, traction, and cryotherapy preferred
Proficient in documentation including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries
Additional Information
Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and use of therapeutic modalities for orthopedic and neurologic conditions
Scrub color is grey
Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
Time off requests should be discussed with the manager
Day 1 orientation is virtual and at-home, with required modules completed by 4:00 PM CST
