Travel PTA - Home HealthAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a home health assignment requiring 1 year of home health experience and Homecare Homebase EMR proficiency.DetailsHome health setting covering Northern Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Morrisville, and SalisburyCaseload of approximately 6 patient visits per day with 60-80 miles of driving daily, mileage reimbursed weeklyPatient population includes chronic diseases, orthopedic/ortho surgery including total hip and knee replacements, falls, weakness, CHF, COPD, and occasional stroke patientsDay shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pmNo weekend rotation and no on-call requirementsUses Homecare Homebase (HCHB) as the required EMR, Epic Rover for view-only access, and Focura for uploading discharge instructions and wound documentationRequirementsActive PTA license in North Carolina required if applicableCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 1 year of home health experience requiredValid driver's license and proof of insurance requiredHomecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR experience required with no exceptionsSkills in gait training, balance training, and non-pharmaceutical pain management requiredLast 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for considerationAt least one professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, or DirectorAdditional InformationFacilitate patient plans of care to achieve highest level of functioning in the most efficient way possibleCollaborate closely with PT and clinical team members, recognizing signs and symptoms to help prevent hospital readmissionsSupport team includes departmental leadership, scheduler, clinical manager, clinical supervisor, and clinical peersOrientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 5 days of unit-specific orientationGrey scrub color requiredTeam-oriented department cultureNo major holiday coverage requiredTime off requests subject to manager approvalFirst-time travelers will be considered if seasoned in home healthCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleReturning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
