Travel PTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican TravelerKerrville, Texas, United StatesPosition ID: P- Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: $1,472.29/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Rehab position in a long-term care setting, requiring 1 year of experience and TX license.DetailsLong-term care/skilled nursing facility setting in the Physical Therapy unitDay shift, 8-hour shiftsNo weekend requirementsNo on-call requirements13-week assignment lengthRequirementsActive PTA license required if applicableCompact license acceptedMinimum 1 year of PTA experience requiredNew grads considered if Level II clinical experience completedLTC or Rehab setting experience requiredOne reference required for considerationAdditional InformationProvide skilled, medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under PT supervisionAdminister rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devicesAssess and communicate patient progress to supervising PT and adjust treatment plans accordinglyDocument treatment information and minutes in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirementsParticipate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetingsAssist supervising PT in obtaining necessary DME or suppliesMay supervise and support PTA students under PT guidanceAdhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethicsMaximum of 5 days RTO may be requestedHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
