Travel PTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican TravelerPotosi, Missouri, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: $1,479.71/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care assignment, requiring 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC/Rehab setting background.DetailsLong Term Care facility setting within the Physical Therapy unitPatient caseload typically ranges from 7-12 patients depending on case mixTreatment times average ~1hr for Medicare B and 30-35 min for Medicare A and Managed CareGroup therapy sessions are utilized at the facilityEach therapist typically has a dedicated device for documentationDay shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through FridayStart times flexible between 6AM and 10AM as long as consistent and communicated with DORNo weekend work required unless a holiday falls within the M-F schedule, in which case hours may be made up on the weekendNo on-call requirementsCompact license acceptedRequirementsActive PTA license required if applicableMinimum 1 year of PTA experience requiredLTC or Rehab setting experience requiredOne professional reference required for considerationAdditional InformationProvide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of a Physical TherapistAdminister manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devicesAssess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plansDocument all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation systemAccurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirementsParticipate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehab meetingsSupport and supervise students under PT guidance as neededAdhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standardsNo more than 7 days of requested RTOHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
