Travel PTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican TravelerPurcell, Oklahoma, United StatesPosition ID: P- Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: $1,441.28/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care setting requiring 1+ years of PTA experience and active state licensure.DetailsLong Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Physical Therapy departmentDay shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, Monday through FridayStart times flexible between before 6AM and no later than 10AM, as long as consistent and coordinated with the Director of RehabNo weekend requirementsNo on-call requirements13-week assignment lengthRequirementsActive PTA license required in the state of practiceLicense required if applicableMinimum 1 year of PTA experience requiredLTC or SNF setting experience requiredNew graduates considered if they have completed a Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation)Resume required for considerationSkills checklist completed within the past year requiredAt least one reference required at time of considerationAdditional InformationProvide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical TherapistAdminister treatment techniques including manual therapy, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, and modalitiesCommunicate with supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordinglyDocument all treatment and progress information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirementsParticipate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetingsProvide consultation and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disordersMaintain adherence to APTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standardsFirst-time travelers may be considered if they meet the Level II clinical experience requirementNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed during the assignmentHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
