Travel PTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican TravelerRockland, Massachusetts, United StatesPosition ID: P- Assignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$1,464.31/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care position requiring 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC or Rehab setting experience.DetailsLong Term Care (LTC) setting within the Physical Therapy unitCaseload typically includes 7-12 patients per day depending on case mixTreatment times average approximately 1 hour for Medicare B and 30-35 minutes for Medicare A and Managed Care patients8-hour day shiftsNo weekend or on-call requirementsRequirementsActive PTA license required if applicableMinimum 1 year of PTA experience requiredExperience in a LTC or SNF setting required1 professional reference required for considerationAdditional InformationProvide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of a Physical TherapistAdminister treatment techniques including manual therapy, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devicesAssess and communicate patient progress with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as neededDocument all treatment information accurately in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirementsParticipate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings as requiredAssist supervising Physical Therapist with DME and supply needs as necessaryMay supervise and support PTA students under the guidance of a Physical TherapistAdhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethicsNo more than 7 days of requested RTO permitted during the assignmentHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
