Position Overview
nWe are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our outpatient clinic team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in providing treatments and patient education, specifically within a radiation therapy environment.
Qualifications
n Must possess an active Virginia License.
ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
BLS certification required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy is required.
Experience with Varian True Beam equipment is preferred.
n Responsibilities
n Administer daily patient treatments in accordance with prescribed radiation therapy protocols.
Educate patients about treatment processes and expectations.
Utilize the Aria record and verify system for treatment documentation.
Maintain communication with the director and lead therapist regarding patient care.
Participate in department-specific orientation and training as needed.
n Treatment Modalities
n External Beam Radiation Therapy
Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
n Work Schedule
nThis position requires a commitment to a Monday through Friday schedule, with 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.
Dress Code
nScrubs (solid color) or business casual attire is expected in the workplace.
Orientation
nNew hires will complete a department-specific orientation lasting approximately 5 days, with 8-hour shifts. The orientation can be extended based on the new hire’s comfort and experience level.
