Job description
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for a hospital oncology department requiring ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience.
Requirements
ARRT (T) certification required
BLS certification (AHA) required
License required if applicable
Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapist experience
1 year of travel experience OR post-graduation work experience with Varian and ARIA required
TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy experience preferred
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department
202-bed regional hospital serving 22 counties across northern Michigan
Uses ARIA for electronic medical records
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with possible transition to 4/10s
No weekend or on-call requirements
Deliver radiation therapy treatments and perform treatment simulations
Fabricate necessary shielding blocks and maintain accurate EMR documentation
Prepare equipment for patient treatments, performing quality control and assurance tests
Adhere to infection control techniques and radiation safety and protection practices
Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff
Scrubs of any color permitted
Maximum of 5 days of RTO may be requested
Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers with adjusted pay
