Job description
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 1+ year experience for an outpatient cancer center offering radiation therapy and CyberKnife radiosurgery.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist
Current BLS certification from AHA
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment (license required if applicable)
Ability to accurately position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters
Experience maintaining and adjusting linear accelerator equipment
Responsibilities
Freestanding outpatient cancer treatment center providing cancer rehabilitation and radiation therapy services
Utilizes CyberKnife radiosurgery system
Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:30
13-week assignment length
Deliver patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist
Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage area
Accepts local candidates, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
