Setting: Travel assignment in a hospital environment
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic CT examinations using standard protocols and adjust technique to optimize image quality
Position patients correctly for CT scans, selecting appropriate anatomy and scan parameters; ensure patient comfort and safety
Adhere to CT quality control procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices
Monitor patients during scans and respond to any adverse reactions or alarms; assist with contrast administration when required
Document exams accurately and communicate findings or priorities with the radiology team as needed
Requirements
Active New York state license to practice radiologic technology
ARRT CT certification; CT registry required
1+ year CT imaging experience
Ability to work night shifts in a hospital travel assignment
Strong knowledge of CT safety, patient positioning, and QA procedures
