Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week day-shift assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R) certification and MA licensure.
Details
Radiology department at a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
24-hour diagnostic imaging services including MRI, high-speed CT, ultrasound, x-ray, and mammography
Four 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 32-hour guaranteed schedule
Weekly schedule (block scheduling not available)
Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage if needed
No on-call requirement
Uses PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, including CR, DR, and PACS applications
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience with 1 year current experience required
ARRT (R) certification required
BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable, in hand or proof of application required
Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
Must have own vehicle for this assignment
Additional Information
Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to facilitate diagnosis
May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as assigned
Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with hospital and OSHA standards
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Attend annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation training
Maintain continuing education requirements for radiology and mammography
Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for this assignment, and must be submitted in advance
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
