Call responsibilities include a 1-hour response time as part of the rotation
Responsibilities
Deliver direct nursing care across the endoscopy/acute care pathway, supporting pre-op, intra-op, and post-op processes as assigned
Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and adjust care as conditions change
Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond to emergencies with professional clinical judgment
Promote infection prevention, safe procedures, and patient safety while ensuring documentation is accurate and timely
Educate patients and families to support self-care after discharge and coordinate ongoing care with the care team
Requirements
NYS Registered Nurse licensure with active status
Minimum 1 year of endoscopy/endoscopy-related RN experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity acute care environment and participate in a call/rotation schedule as described
Education
Current NYS RN licensure required
