Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 10/26/2026 for a 13-week duration. Travel assignment in an ED setting

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care including triage, treatment and discharge for Emergency Department patients from newborns to geriatrics.

Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments within scope, perform rapid assessments and interventions as needed.

Collaborate with CNA and the ED team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Document assessments, interventions and discharge plans in the electronic medical record; communicate with patients and families.

Prepare patients for discharge or transfer and provide clear education and instructions.

Maintain infection control practices, patient safety, and throughput in a high-volume ED.

Requirements

12-hour night shift availability (3x12 schedule)

Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment

ED/ER nursing experience or demonstrated comfort working in emergency department

Ability to care for patients across the lifespan (neonates to geriatrics)

Current, active RN license to practice in California

Travel nursing experience preferred
