Travel Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Operating Room (Robotics)
Location: New York
Pay:
$2,400 – $2,700 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday | 36 or 48 hours per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with strong DaVinci robotic surgery experience to join a high-acuity Operating Room team. This is a dual-role position requiring both RNFA and circulating/scrub experience. The RNFA will collaborate closely with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons during operative procedures as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
Perform circulating and scrub duties when not functioning in the RNFA role
Provide intraoperative support in robotic-assisted surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety
Collaborate with the surgical team for optimal outcomes
Participate in evening call rotation and rotating holiday coverage (no weekends required)
Required Experience:
DaVinci robotic experience is required in the following:
Urology
Gynecology
Surgical Oncology (e.g., Whipple procedures, gastrectomies, hernias)
General Surgery (e.g., gallbladder, appendectomy)
Requirements:
Active New York RN License (required)
Completion of an accredited RNFA program
CNOR Certification (required)
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience (Level 1 trauma preferred)
Experience in both scrub and circulating roles
