Responsibilities

Provide unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to coordinate care and operations

Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional judgment and supervisory discretion

Ensure that patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care that supports positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining patient safety

Assess the patient experience and implement steps to continually improve quality of care and service delivery

Work with interdisciplinary teams to manage staffing, workflow, and resource allocation to optimize patient flow and outcomes

Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and compliance with applicable standards and policies

Requirements

Experience in unit-based nursing leadership or a nursing management role

Ability to supervise and direct nursing and ancillary staff across multiple levels

Strong communication and collaboration skills with physicians, management, and teams

Commitment to patient safety, high-quality care, and patient experience

Ability to operate effectively in a hospital-based setting and adapt to a fast-paced environment
