Registered Nurse (Med Surg) travel assignment in Cozad, Nebraska, United States. Start date 10/19/2026 for a weeks-long assignment with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
Provide direct bedside nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including routine assessments and ongoing monitoring of vital signs and clinical status.
Administer prescribed medications and therapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and document effectiveness and safety.
Perform basic procedures within scope of practice and escalates concerns to the medical team as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, including care plans, progress notes, and patient education.
Collaborate with physicians, bedside teammates, and ancillary staff to coordinate and optimize patient care; participate in rounds and discharge planning as appropriate.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care, promoting safe transitions and adherence to care plans.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and patient-care skills.
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and fulfill a 36-hour weekly schedule.
Effective communication and teamwork skills; comfort in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Willingness to work a travel assignment in Cozad, Nebraska, for the duration of the posting and to comply with assignment start date.
