Responsibilities
Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards of care
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
Provide clinical assessment, administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor patient status, and document progress accurately
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; participate in discharge planning and patient education
Maintain patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance; communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes within a general acute care med/surg setting
Requirements
Ability to deliver coordinated nursing care on a general acute care med-surg unit with a mixed medical/surgical patient population (approx. 65% medical or 65% surgical)
Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and thorough documentation across shifts and disciplines
Availability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 3x12 schedule and to commence on 10/12/2026
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment for a 13-week term and to meet assignment requirements
