Job description
The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) will perform an age-specific plan of care for patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in a collaborative environment and are skilled in patient assessment and care coordination.

What You’ll Do
Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
Assess level of pain and pain management.
Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
Maintain constant vigilance over patient care for safety.
Administer medications correctly and safely.
Requirements
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
Licenses & Certifications:
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
BLS certification required.
