Job Requirements
n Current Respiratory Therapist credential and eligibility to practice in the assigned hospital settingn
At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience requiredn
Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support preferredn
BLS certification required; ACLS knowledge preferredn
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skillsn
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care n
Responsibilities
n Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate respiratory treatment plans
Provide routine and intensive respiratory care, including oxygen, aerosol, humidification, and ventilation therapiesn
Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function studies per policyn
Assist with respiratory care procedures and support airway management needsn
Set up, test, monitor, and maintain ventilatory equipmentn
Document treatments, assessments, and patient responses accurately and thoroughlyn
Communicate effectively with physicians and team members during handoff and shift-to-shift reportingn
Support patient education and discharge teaching related to respiratory caren
