Job Requirements
n At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital or acute care settingn
Current Respiratory Therapist credential/licensure required for practicen
Experience working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferredn
Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary clinical teamn
Experience with mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy preferredn
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered care approachn
BLS and ACLS certification knowledge preferredn
Responsibilities
n Deliver quality respiratory care for patients throughout the acute care facilityn
Evaluate patient needs and recommend appropriate respiratory treatment plansn
Administer physician-prescribed treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipmentn
Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, and capnography monitoringn
Support tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, EKGs, and pulmonary function studiesn
Assist with respiratory procedures and mechanical ventilation managementn
Document treatments, patient responses, and charting accurately and thoroughlyn
Communicate effectively during handoff and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teamsn
Help maintain equipment, perform safety checks, and support ongoing quality patient caren
