Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) needed for a 13-week travel respiratory therapy job in Springfield, Ohio, with overnight shifts and competitive weekly pay.
nJoin a hospital-based respiratory care team supporting patients across critical care, emergency, step-down, and medical-surgical areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled travel respiratory therapist to provide essential cardiopulmonary care, manage advanced respiratory therapies, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team during overnight shifts.
Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730-$1,860n

Duration: 13 weeksn
Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per weekn
Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hoursn
Shift Rotation: Night shifts rotate weekly; every other weekend requiredn
Setting: On-site hospital respiratory therapy departmentn
Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
n Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of Ohion
National Board for Respiratory Care credential requiredn
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted; RRT preferredn
At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred, with experience in a general acute-care hospital setting strongly valuedn
Current BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification as applicable; required credentials must be obtained from an approved source before direct patient caren
Demonstrated experience with ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and heated high-flow oxygenn
Experience with 980 ventilators preferredn
Ability to provide respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations based on department needsn
Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, documentation, and teamwork skillsn
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment and respond effectively to changing patient acuityn
Respiratory Therapy Responsibilities
n Perform initial and ongoing respiratory assessments, analyze clinical data, develop respiratory care plans, and evaluate treatment effectivenessn
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies in accordance with physician orders and patient responsen
Manage ventilatory support, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, nebulized medications, inhaled therapies, oxygen therapy, and continuous aerosol treatmentsn
Respond to cardiopulmonary emergencies and participate in resuscitation events as clinically indicatedn
Perform arterial blood gas punctures and testing, airway management, pulse oximetry, bedside pulmonary function testing, and other diagnostic procedures within scope of practicen
Monitor patients and recommend respiratory therapy adjustments to help achieve appropriate clinical goalsn
Provide respiratory education to patients and caregivers regarding disease management, inhaler use, oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, aerosol treatments, and ventilator care when applicablen
Maintain respiratory equipment and supplies, accurate patient records, and timely clinical documentationn
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team across the emergency department, ICU, cardiovascular ICU, step-down unit, and medical-surgical floorsn
Follow infection prevention, safety, quality assurance, and departmental policies while maintaining a patient-centered approach to respiratory caren
