Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift hospital position treating adult and potential pediatric patients.
Details
Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy unit
Patient population is primarily adult with potential for pediatric patients
Night shift, working 3x12 hour and 4x12 hour rotating schedules (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
Floating required within scope of practice
Every other weekend required
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience required
RRT license required; CRT accepted
License required if applicable
Active compact or state license in hand required at time of consideration
BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required
Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted, though medical and religious exemptions are reviewed case-by-case
Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year
Additional Information
Must work either a major or minor holiday during every holiday period
Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront; no changes accepted after submission
Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
After working one year, returning travelers must take a minimum 6 month break before being eligible to return
First-time travelers may be considered
