Job Summary
nRespiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Location: Not specified. This position involves delivering life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients under general supervision. The role includes performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice Units while maintaining clinical expertise across various departmental assignments. Effective communication and thorough documentation of patient care are essential, along with supervising, directing, and delegating tasks to Respiratory Therapists, externs, and students.
nJob Details
nnSchedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
nRequired Qualifications: Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program; registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care; current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan; BLS certification; a minimum of 2 years recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
nAdditional Qualifications: Current licensure and BLS certification are required.
nResponsibilities include providing life-support and medical gases therapy, performing diagnostic procedures, supervising and delegating to other Respiratory Therapists and students, and documenting patient care accurately.
nThis position requires clinical expertise across various hospital units and effective communication with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
