nJob Details
nnCertifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Associate or technical degree; proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); current license as required by state law; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional related education or experience preferred.
nSchedule: Day shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
nAdditional Information: Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners in accordance with established policies and procedures. Applies and manages mechanical ventilators, recommends adjustments to improve clinical condition and patient comfort, and expedites weaning processes. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots durable medical equipment used in respiratory therapy. Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, assesses patient response, and collaborates effectively with healthcare team members. May supervise staff and work in various healthcare settings providing respiratory care and diagnostic testing to pediatric patients.
