nJoin a leading healthcare provider as an RRT Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neurology in Newark, NY. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and advanced respiratory diagnostics.
nKey Responsibilities:
n Float between Long Term Care (LTC) and Acute Care settings as needed.n
Perform critical care procedures including extubation, intubation assist, and tracheostomy care.n
Administer medications and conduct patient assessments.n
Utilize specialized equipment such as Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, and V60.n
Conduct ABG sampling and manage ventilators.n
Provide pulmonary hygiene and support for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and respiratory infections.n
nRequirements:
n MUST HAVE LICENSE PRIOR TO SUBMIT.n
Active RRT license and BLS certification required.n
Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.n
Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings is preferred.n
Ability to float between facilities in the Eastern region; personal car is required due to rural locations.n
nThis position requires weekend shifts every other week, totaling 6 weekend shifts during the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply.
