We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position involves working three 12-hour shifts over the weekend, providing critical respiratory care across diverse patient populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
Responsibilities
n Provide independent respiratory care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, airway management, and assistance with intubations.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation.
Set up and operate respiratory care equipment as directed by the physician.
Utilize pulmonary function tests (PFTs) as necessary.
Address varied challenges in patient care across different settings.
n Qualifications
n Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Valid certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Proficiency in using various modalities including ventilators, positive airway pressure (PAP) devices, and high-flow oxygen therapies.
Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic medical records system.
Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Preferred: At least 6 months of travel experience.
Valid Vermont RRT license.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and responsibilities.
Must have personal transportation for duties as needed.
n Additional Information
n Business casual or personal scrubs are acceptable as per dress code.
Must be available to work during designated holiday periods and take no more than 5 days of requested time off.
Orientation: Non-billable orientation lasting 8 hours will be provided.
High standards of attendance are expected; excessive call-offs may lead to contract cancellation.
