Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment; flexible rotations may apply
Expand your professional experience by providing high-quality, intensive respiratory care and participating in patient transport. As part of this role, you'll evaluate patients, recommend evidence-backed care plans, and educate both patients and their families about respiratory therapies and discharge instructions. The position offers exposure to advanced equipment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and hands-on involvement in patient care from admission through complex procedures to discharge.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver routine and specialized physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy
Operate and maintain ventilatory, oxygen, and aerosol devices; administer prescribed medications and humidification treatments
Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function testing
Interpret chest x-rays and 12-Lead EKGs; recognize basic arrhythmias
Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care
Perform arterial punctures, set up ventilatory equipment, and support preventative maintenance
Maintain meticulous documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
Ensure quality control and compliance with lab testing protocols
Qualifications: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT)
Valid state respiratory license (OH)
BLS and ACLS certification
Previous acute care or rehab experience preferred
Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
