Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide routine and critical respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and Medical Director.
Responsibilities:
Perform respiratory assessments and routine respiratory care procedures for inpatient and emergency room patients.
Assess ventilated patients and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory treatments.
Obtain and analyze arterial, venous, and capillary blood gases.
Prepare, test, clean, and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure safe operation.
Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions.
Document respiratory procedures, patient responses, care plans, and charges accurately in the EMR.
Recommend timely interventions or additional treatments based on patient needs.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Active Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Solid understanding of respiratory care procedures and clinical practices.
